A lifelong Nebraskan, Lorna was born in North Platte, eventually moving to Omaha to attend Patricia Stevens Fashion and Business College. She married Marvin Packett, Jr. in 1973, with whom she had two children, daughter Regan and son Tyler.
She appreciated all forms of artistic expression. She loved music, dancing, and creating with her hands – woodworking, embroidery, beading, and many beautiful mixed media collages.
Lorna worked for Boys Town for over 25 years. She was very proud to support those who provide healing and hope to precious children.
Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy. They will miss her jovial and youthful nature, punchy sense of humor, silly dances and songs, and her endless creativity.
Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Patricia Ulrich, and sister, Cynthia Ulrich Sacks. Survived by daughter Regan (Paul) Daniels, son Tyler Packett, and grandchildren Sebastian, Quinn, Thalia, and Max, and a dearly loved extended family.
