Preceded by: sister Carol Ann Porta and parents Frank and Mary. Survived by: nephew Steven; and many loving family and friends.
Linda was known for her caring heart and showed her appreciation for men and women of the military anonymously. She would prepare a “thank you” card with enough money for a meal enclosed in the card, and if she saw another car in a parking lot indicating military service, she would leave the card under their windshield wiper. Only one man ever caught her putting the thank you under his windshield wipers!
She had a very “artsy” side and for years made her own greeting cards which were beautiful. Linda always sent wonderful cards to loved ones who needed them and was always there for others during tough times. She also designed Native American Prayer Sticks called Pahos, collecting materials during her morning walks, and gifted her wonderful creations to family and friends.
Linda was an amazing woman and will be missed by many.
No services at this time. Memorials can be dedicated to the Nebraska Humane Society, as she was an avid lover of animals.
