Linda Marie Nordhues, 71, loving sister and mother, passed away May 25, 2026, after a long illness.
Linda was born on Nov. 9, 1954, in Omaha. She attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic school and Notre Dame Academy in Omaha, graduating in 1972. She later earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Linda had a long career in the oil and gas industry, which started at Northern Natural Gas and later Enron, which took her to Houston, Texas. She returned to Omaha after the birth of her daughter in 1990.
Linda had a wide circle of long-time devoted friends and relatives with whom she enjoyed spending time. She loved nature, her dogs, and the simple things in life.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelsey Frantom Gnam (David) of Omaha, grandsons Holden, Brighton and Graham Gnam, and her brothers Scott (Marie) of Placentia, CA, Mark (Cathy) of Omaha, and Craig (Marci) of Dothan, AL. Her parents, Francis A. and Irene M. Nordhues, preceded her in death.
Linda suffered from Frontotemporal Dementia, which led to her eventual disability and need for specialized care. She spent the last six years of her life in skilled nursing facilities. Her family is grateful for the many dedicated caregivers and staff who contributed to her care and comfort over the past several years.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 11 at Roeder Mortuary- 108th Chapel from 5 to 7 pm with a Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14330 Eagle Run Drive, Omaha, with visitation one hour prior. Luncheon immediately following in the parish hall. Internment at Calvary Cemetery, 7710 W. Center Road, Omaha.

Rosary Service beginning at 6:00 PM
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church
An additional hour of visitation will be held at church prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 AM.
A Luncheon will immediately follow the service, with a procession to the cemetery afterwards.
