LeRoy H. Dean

8/18/1937 - 6/20/2020 Omaha - LeRoy H. Dean was born August 18, 1937 in Norfolk, Nebraska. He attended grade school at Birch School in District 14, Pierce County and graduated from Plainview High School. In 1954, LeRoy joined the Nebraska National Guard. He served in company F, 134 Regiment, 34th Division until 1962. A year into his military service and while working at Glauber Valve company in Omaha, he and Donna Zimmerman married on August 25, 1957. LeRoy farmed and ranched in the Pierce, NE area and worked at the Omaha Housing Authority while raising four children. LeRoy was preceded in death by son Michael and sister Loretta. Survived by wife Donna, children Susan Ganow, Sally Berke, Robert, 5 grandchildren, sisters Ruth and Peggy. LeRoy was an active member of Central Park United Church of Christ, now merged with the Northwest Hills United Church of Christ for 54 years.
