Larry Paul Hansen

Passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He was born on August14, 1950, to Lester and Mildred Hansen (Hudecek) in Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his father Lester Hansen, beloved son Michael Hansen and his sister-in-law Dawn Hansen. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Hansen (Trihy) and children David (Doreen) Hansen, Jana (Brandon) Burns and Katie (Eric) Sorens. He was blessed with grandchildren Brody and Jonny Hansen, Nicholas, Sydney and Madison Burns, and Michael and Emmett Sorens. Other survivors include his mother Mildred Christiansen and his siblings Alan Hansen, Lorie (Chuck) Grebe and Steve (Gail) Hansen all of Gretna, Nebraska, as well as sister and brother-in-law Sue and John Warren of Omaha, Nebraska and numerous family and friends. VISITATION: Monday, December 5, from 5pm to 7pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 508 W Angus Rd, Gretna followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday December 6 at 10:00am, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
