Larry Louis Bartek

Larry Louis Bartek, 81, passed away at home on September 25th, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born in South Omaha, he attended South High before earning a baseball scholarship to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He later served in the Marine Corps and dedicated 25 years to the Omaha Police Department.

Larry is survived by his wife, Kay Bartek, and children: Larry Bartek (Susan), Shelly Carnazzo (Paul), and Brian Bartek (Jordan). He leaves behind five cherished grandchildren, Mick & Lou Carnazzo, Zoie Bartek, and Wayne & Boone Bartek, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation Friday (9/29/23) 5:30 - 7:30 PM with Vigil Service at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Funeral Service Saturday (9/30/23) 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church 508 Angus St. Gretna, NE.   

Larry's memory will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.
