Age 90 -Ky “David” Nash, age 90, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his residence. He was with his sons.
  Ky was born on October 14, 1932, to Louise and Shelton Nash in Kosciusko, Mississippi. In 1952, Ky moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. Later, he would move to Omaha, Nebraska, where he met Ednarl Coleman. In 1958, they were married. Together, they raised four beautiful children: Patricia, David, Jr., Thomas, and Johnny. Ky and Ednarl were married for over 63 years.
  Through the years, Ky worked for several packing houses in Omaha including Swift, Cudhay, and Armours. Ky had a fierce passion and love for clean cars. So, he began detailing vehicles part-time at local service stations throughout the mid 60's. Later Ky was employed by Omaha auto auction for many years as their top detailer, eventually, Ky seized the opportunity to be self employed by opening Nash Auto Waxing. Eventually Ky was able to include his three sons which made it Nash’s Auto Waxing, and later they were able to open Nash’s Auto Waxing ll in South Sioux City Nebraska which brought Ky immense pride and joy, he was known as one of the top automotive detail centers in the Omaha area for over 50 years.
  Beyond his love for cars, Ky love watching sports, and love to play and tease his grandkids, greatgrandkids, and other children in the family, and he was known to always bring a homemade sweet potato pie or cobbler to every family gathering.
  In life, Ky grew in his relationship with the Lord and cherished his home at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (Omaha, Nebraska). He proudly served the church as a member of the Trustee Board and member of the Usher’s Board until his health began to fail. 
  Ky was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Shelton Nash; wife, Ednarl Nash; daughter, Patricia Ann Nash; brother, Hervin Johnson; Sister Gladys (Nash) Scott, brother Charles Nash, sister, Vera M. (Nash) Stennis; daughter-in-law, Jody Nash; and grandson, Tony Herron.
  Ky will be lovingly remembered by his sons David, Jr., (Omaha, NE), Thomas (Dayna) Nash (Sioux City, IA), and Johnny Nash (Sioux City, IA); his grandchildren Annaye Nash (Omaha, NE), Antoinette Scaife (Omaha, NE), Tamara Nash (Sioux Falls, SD), Johnny (Morgen) Nash, Jr., (Sioux City, IA), Allison Nash (St. Petersburg, FL), Ronald Nash (Phoenix, AZ), and Kya Murdock (Omaha, NE); 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Monday (1/16/2023) at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave., Omaha, NE.  Visitation from 10 - 11 AM with Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM.  Burial following service at Mount Hope Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
