Kevin M. Weber

Gretna -

Kevin’s greatest loves were God and his family.

Kevin Matthew Weber was born on November 8th, 1975, to William “Bill” and Susan (Thompson) Weber in Milbank, South Dakota. He was raised on the farm with his eight siblings, a devout Catholic family who attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church and School. Kevin attended Milbank High School where he played basketball and golf, starting the school’s golf team and winning state championships in both. He graduated from Milbank High School on May 19th, 1994.

Following high school, Kevin moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he began his college career at Scottsdale Community College (SCC). During his time there he worked for Continental Golf Club and Insight. After three years at SCC, he achieved his goal of attending Arizona State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree on December 14th, 2000.

In 1996, Kevin met Tammy Weberg at their apartment complex pool. They quickly grew close through their love of golf, rollerblading, hiking, and many other outdoor activities. What drew them even closer was practicing their shared faith at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Three years later they were married on April 17th, 1999, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska. They were blessed with four children, who they raised and homeschooled in Gretna, NE. He joined the Knights of Columbus in 2003 in the Gretna Council.

Kevin’s first job in Omaha was with Hewlett-Packard (HP) in computer sales. Years later, Kevin began his true calling with the Knights of Columbus as an Insurance Field Agent. He was fortunate enough to live his faith while being able to serve so many families in the parishes of St. Patricks in Gretna, St. Wenceslaus, and for a time, St. Geralds. The bonds that he formed with his brother Knights led to lifelong friendships.

Kevin was the most loyal husband, proud father, devout son, brother, and Catholic along with being the most optimistic Minnesota Vikings fan. He loved spending time with his family and watching his kids play their sports (tailgating), golfing, going on bike rides, cooking, and entertaining friends in his garage with bourbon and cigars. No one was a stranger to Kevin.

Cherishing his memory are his wife, Tammy; his children: Jacob, Zachary, Sarah, and Isaiah; his mother, Susan Weber; siblings: Mike (Kathy) Weber, Mark Weber, Rose (Jim) Ragatz, Dale Weber, Jim (Jeanine) Weber, Theresa LaMotte, and Keith (Angie) Weber; nieces and nephews: Dan (Lindsay), Peyton, Hayden, John Michael, John (Shannon), Calvin, Jane, Hannah, Nick, Casey, Sabrina, Abby, Karson, and Garrett; in laws: Glenn and Susie Weberg; brother and sister in laws: Allen (Rebecca), Michael (Susan),and James (Tania); nieces and nephews: Nicole, Camden, Luke, Grace, Gabrielle, Rachel, Anna, and Michael.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father: Bill Weber; brother: John Weber; in laws: Mary Weber and Rob LaMotte.
