Kent Jones

7/3/1962 - 3/9/2020

Our beloved, Kent Jones, was born July 3, 1962 to Nathaniel Golden and Mary L. Mills in Como, Mississippi.  Kent unexpectedly transitioned to his eternal resting place on March 9, 2020 in the home that he loved.

Kent attended school at Omaha Flanagan High School and later Metro Tech Community College where he excelled in many things. Kent had a unique ability to figure out and fix just about anything. Kent's driveway was usually populated with parts and wires as he might be installing a new sound system, adding rear cameras, or updating to automatic locks in a vehicle. Inside his house there were often many projects in progress, from redesigning his bathroom to installing a new dishwasher in the kitchen. He found solace in keeping his brain engaged and active.

A strong introvert, Kent was a quiet, yet solid foundation in his family. When he spoke, others listened as it was sure to be thoughtful and important. Kent valued his own space, and as a result naturally respected that of others. He was largely independent yet loved spending time with his family and friends.

Kent leaves to cherish heartfelt memories his father, Nathaniel Golden Sr. , siblings, Dr. Vann Price , Brent Jones , Donnell Golden, Lisa Ferrell , Nathaniel Golden Jr., and Ronnie Golden; aunt, Loise Anderson; uncles, Preston and MacArthur Mills , Philip and Jerry Anderson; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Jones and his brother, Nippsy V. Jones.
