Katie Mae “Curry” Waytes Age 87 of Omaha, NE passed away on September 9, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1931 in Birmingham, Alabama to Willie and Estelle Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband; Howard, parents and great-grandson; Justin Scaife, Jr. Katie is survived by her sons; Keith Waytes, Kevin Waytes and Kenneth Waytes, daughters; Kim Waytes and Karen Waytes, 15- grandchildren, 29- great-grandchildren, 2-great-great-grandchildren, sister; Juanita Gibson, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral Service: 12:00 PM Friday, September 14, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 4504 Bedford Street, Omaha, Nebraska, with Visitation 1 hour prior to the service; Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery Omaha, Nebraska.
