Karen Kathleen Pierce

On September 7, 2023, a beloved mother and friend was returned to God. Karen was a special lady. She genuinely cared for the people who came into her life. She always had a warm smile, kind words, and love for everyone who found themselves on her doorstep or called her on the phone. Her home was a welcoming place, where family and friends often gathered to share food, drinks, games, and conversation. She was a “Mom” to many and a friend to all. Karen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. In her own words, we say goodbye. “Goodbye, beautiful”. 

Preceded by: husband Donnie; brother Doc Hubbell; and parents Gaylon and Mary Hubbell. Survived by children: Donnie (Loretta) Pierce, Kevin (Kristie) Pierce, Kim (Eric) Dooley, Kris (Brian) Boub and Debbie Springer; sister-in-law Barb Hubbell; 14  grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many loving family and friends.                 

Visitation Wednesday (9-13-2023) at Roeder Mortuary Gretna Chapel (1170 Standing Stone) from 5-7 PM with rosary service at 7 PM. Funeral Service 11 AM Thursday (9/14/2023) at Roeder Mortuary Gretna Chapel. Memorials to be dedicated to the Alzheimer's Association Nebraska Chapter.
