Predeceased by: ex-husband Glen; Son, Bryan; and Sister, Jolaine (Jim)
Survived by: daughters: Teri Price and Tracy Ronk (Ken); son Brent Casterline (Diane), & daughter-in-law Dianne (Scott) Corder; 6 grandkids: Jenny (Rom), Alan (Heather), Dave (Becky), Nick, Tara (Mike), Caitlin (Gina), and 4 great-grandkids: Riley, Conner, Sophia, Adonis.
She worked at JC Penney’s for about 34 years and Convergy’s for many years. She also volunteered at the Omaha Community Playhouse for over 30 years and her polling place. She loved dogs, especially poodles, was fiercely independent, enjoyed traveling and feeding the birds. One of her favorite things was shopping for clothes for birthdays and Christmas – and she had a way of knowing what would look good on each person. Family gatherings were very important to her, and she went all out for every one of them. She did the best birthdays. She had a way of making that person feel special and would bake a cake each time and deliver it if need be. She always loved her son Bryan’s wife Dianne – so much so that she remains an intricate part of the family to this day. When Dianne married Scott, who was also a friend of Bryan’s, Karen fully embraced him as another son and full part of the family.
