Survived by husband: Ron Bruening; son: Greg Bruening (Sue); daughter: Angie Champion; grandsons: Alex Bruening (Sammy), Erik Bruening (McKenzie), Brendan Van Roy, Daniel Champion; granddaughter: Anna Champion; great-granddaughters: Margot Bruening and Adelyn Bruening; sisters: Gail (Larry) Peterson, Terry Slama, Jo (Jeff) Plank, Bobbi (Bill) Henthorn.

Judy worked 21 years for Farm Credit Services in Norfolk NE. She and Ron moved to Omaha, NE in 1999 after retiring. Judy worked part-time for Jerry Hoberman for many years in Omaha, was a member of Assistance League of Omaha for 26 years, and an active member of Hope Presbyterian Church.

There will be a Memorial Service 11:00 AM Friday (12/19/2025) with luncheon to follow at Hope Presbyterian Church 5220 S. 159th Ave. Omaha, Nebraska; Private burial at Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Assistance League of Omaha or American Cancer Society.
