Josiah Reynaldo Rios

Josiah Reynaldo Rios was born on January 12, 2004 in Los Angeles, California and passed away on September 26, 2021 in Moreno Valley, California. He was 17 years old. In 2005, Josiah’s family moved to Nebraska where he resided until 2017 when he moved to California for the remainder of his life. Josiah was an inspiration to his family to seek God. As a toddler, he had a keen sense of knowing the presence of God. He often crawled his way to the altar on his own accord. While he was in his mother’s womb, many evangelists spoke a prophetic word that he would be God’s fire, that God spared him, and his miracle was already done. When Josiah was young, he spent his days playing with his siblings and cousins. They enjoyed playing outside, finding insects, looking for wildlife, swimming, fishing with grandpa Joe, going to church bbqs, and setting off fireworks every chance possible. He also enjoyed attending the wheelchair sports camps every summer with his friends. Josiah loved family time and looked forward to making memories. As a teenager, Josiah played sports on the Rolling Cubs basketball team. In his spare time, Josiah loved to go to his grandpa’s house to go bike riding, play foosball, go off- roading and search the wild for tarantulas and scorpions. Josiah loved animals. He owned two pet rats, Bambi & Pepper, who he cherished dearly. His dream was to have a domestic and exotic animal rescue called Noah’s Ark. Josiah loved the Lord with all his heart. He spent most of his time in worship. He used his creativity to write his own music and has several published Christian hip hop songs under the name Young JaHseH. He also enjoyed serving in several ministries where he served and fed the homeless. He was passionate about reaching the lost and hitting the streets to share the love of Jesus to others. Josiah touched the lives of many. Several people, along with teachers and camp counselors, would be moved to tears when speaking of how amazing and special Josiah was. He was the most kind and gentle person that exemplified the love of Christ to all who knew him. Josiah was loved greatly by his family, friends, and anybody who took the time to get to know him. His laughter, goofiness and sweet- witted personality will be missed dearly. He is survived by his father and step-mother Reynaldo and Angela Rios; mother and step-father Mandy and Tony Reynolds; his siblings Shaniah, Alondrah, Thaliah, Jonah, and Noah; nieces Aubrey, Melina, and Nova; nephews Leandro and Bowie. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Robert Rios and Joseph Mitchell; and great-grandmother Mary Lou Johnson.
