Jonathan Luther Love, 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 20, 2026.

Born Jan. 19, 1965, to Nona and David Love, Jonathan grew up in a large family with eight brothers and three sisters. He married Juanita on March 16, 1990, and together they raised their daughter, Elle Nina Simone Love, and son, Ian Luther Love.

A devoted husband and father, Jonathan worked in hazardous materials removal and later as a school bus driver, a job he enjoyed. He will be remembered with love by his family and those who knew him.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Juanita; daughter, Elle Nina; son, Ian; and extended family and friends.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at Lothrop Social Hall, 3232 N. 24th St., Omaha, NE 68110, with a repast during the gathering. The service will be livestreamed. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Roeder Mortuary.
