The journey of Johnathan Roshawn Wallace (affectionately known as John John, John, and JT) began on June 27, 1990 (35), in Omaha, Nebraska, born to Brenda Wallace and Elder Broadnax Jr. On September 4, 2025, Johnathan gained his wings, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Johnathan accepted Christ at an early age at Freestone Baptist Church and was known throughout his life for his generous heart and uplifting spirit. He had a deep, abiding love for his family and a natural ability to connect with others. With a commanding presence and an eye for style, he took pride in his appearance and was always sharply dressed. His warm smile and helping hand made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Johnathan attended Belvedere Elementary, McMillan Magnet Center, and Burke High School, where he made many lifelong friends thanks to his vibrant personality. Throughout his life, he was employed by Waste Management and held a position as a construction worker. He was multi-talented and creative—artistic at heart and passionate about music. He loved to rap to any beat and had a deep appreciation for anime, especially Dragon Ball Z.
An exceptional athlete, Johnathan was known for his fearless backflips off just about anything he could climb. If someone told him he couldn’t do something, he made it his mission to prove them wrong. As a child, he played football for the Bengals alongside his cousins, while the girls cheered from the sidelines and family filled the stands with pride.
Above all, Johnathan cherished his family. He found joy in spending time with loved ones, especially his daughters and nephews. He was a proud and devoted father, a loving son, a protective brother, and a fun, caring uncle and cousin. His presence lit up every room, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Johnathan is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Jaylynn Wallace and Elsie O’Donnell; his loving mother, Brenda Wallace; his devoted sister, Jametria (Derrion) Kelley; and his cherished nephews. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Though he has departed this world, Johnathan’s spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and John Wallace; uncles John Wallace Jr., William Wallace, Stanley Wallace, and Fredrick Wallace; aunt Mamie Banks; cousins Marcus Jackson and Brandon Wallace; and a host of other beloved family members.
