John Wallace Jr., also known as JR, was born in Evergreen, Alabama, on December 6, 1947, to John Wallace Sr. and Alice Wallace. From an early age, John embraced Christianity, accepting Christ during his childhood in Alabama. In 1953, his family relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, where he pursued his education at Howard Kennedy Elementary School, Kellom Elementary School, Horace Mann Middle School, and Technical High School. His formative years in Nebraska significantly shaped his character and work ethic, laying a foundation for his future endeavors and personal growth.
In 1980, John met Mary McCall, and their friendship blossomed over the years. Their relationship remained platonic until 1988, when it transitioned into a romantic partnership. This shift marked a new chapter in John's life, and their bond grew stronger over time. In 1991, John and Mary had a child, which furthered enriching their family life and deepening their bond.
Their shared journey culminated in their marriage on April 6, 2012, in Omaha, Nebraska, where they celebrated their lifelong commitment.
Throughout his life, John exemplified dedication, love, and resilience. His story reflects a man who valued hard work, family, and meaningful relationships, leaving a lasting legacy for those who knew him.
John loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, bike riding, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He also found joy in playing cards—especially Spades. John enjoyed playing Dominoes, and Tunk—with family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and John Wallace Sr.; brothers Frederick, William, and Stanley Wallace; his sister, Mamie Banks and Son-in-law Crawford Ewing

Four brothers: Jessie (Kathy), Ricky (Kathy), Anthony (Eulyn), and Kenneth Wallace.
Four sisters: Johnnie Bratton, Shirley Wallace, Debbie Moore (Edward), Brenda Wallace.
Nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and lifelong friends
John Jr. was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. His warmth, laughter, and strong presence will be missed by all who knew him.
