John Bell, Sr.

John Bell, Sr. was a well loved WWII US Navy Veteran known by many. John was a jack of all trades building anything using scraps or recycled materials. He was a great cook with a sense of humor.

John is survived by 3 daughters, Donetta Shoals, Clara (Shoals) Nichols, Marilyn Vaughn, and Evelyn Bell (daughter-in-law); grandchildren John Bell III (Jamie Pemberton), Pamela (Bell) Edwards, JB Bell (wife Shenae), Krishna Johnigan (wife Ken'Nette), Breotnie Harrison (husband Nehemiah), and Brayon Nichols; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren; as well as many friends.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Royal Oaks and Tabitha House of Hospice for the love and care they provided. John was blessed to see 95 years of life.  He will be missed.

Services will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave, Omaha, NE. Visitation from 1 – 2 p.m. with Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Services will be live streamed below.
