Joan G. Schwartz

Joan G. Schwartz of Omaha passed away surrounded by her children on October 24, 2016, after a six year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Joan was born in Columbus, NE to Frank and Stella Syslo. She worked for Dodge Engineering, Shannon Heating and Air Conditioning, Norwest Mortgage, and later retired from Farm Credit Services of America. Joan loved her Nebraska Cornhuskers and Atlanta Braves. Joan was preceded in death by:  her two husbands L. Paul Euteneuer and Jack J. Schwartz, her parents, and her five siblings. She is survived by her children: Barb Dagerman, Tim Euteneuer, and Teresa Lunt; grandchildren: Stephanie Dvorak, Sarah Castanos, Abbey Rickard, Alicia Lewis, Paul Euteneuer, Blair Petersen, Brook Aken, Kylee Meinzer, Jack Lunt, and Maxwell Lunt. Joan also loved visits with her eight great-grandchildren: Leo, Anna, Raeya, Omi, Lux, Logan, Nora, and Jayden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 31, at 10 am at St Elizabeth Ann Catholic Church 114th Fort Omaha, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, October 30 from 5 to 7 pm with a vigil service at 7 pm at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N. 108th Street Omaha, Nebraska.  Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.

We are so blessed to have had the most incredible caregivers at Parsons House on Eagle Run. Also, thanks to Serene Hospice for their wonderful care in her last days. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
