Jimmie Ramsey Chambers

Jimmy Ramsey Chambers, 83, passed away peacefully in his home on September 15, 2026.

He was born September 4, 1943, in Gatesville, Texas. He worked the majority of his life for Avaya until retiring due to a work injury. He loved music, trains, and showing his classic 1967 Ford Galaxie, "Speedy," with his grandchildren. He was always a dedicated provider for his family. He dearly loved his children, his many chosen stepchildren, and his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. He faithfully drove his grandchildren to and from school daily until his health no longer allowed it. Most importantly, he loved his wife, Jean Chambers, faithfully throughout their 29 years together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Van Chambers; his daughter, June Wingate; and his stepson, Charles Corey Keys. He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Joseph (Kristen) Chambers, LaRita Chambers, Larry (Carol) Gianarelli, Michael (Patti) Keys, Angelina (Jeff) Spring, and Tina Nerland; as well as many beloved grandchildren who will deeply miss his humor and storytelling.

Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to CHI Angels for their guidance and care while we looked after him at home.

A memorial service will be held at Roeder Mortuary (108th & Maple) at 1:00 PM,Tuesday (9/22/26) with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations to his wife, Jean Chambers.
