Jerry Gordon Stahl was born on September 14, 1941, to Fawn and Twyla Stahl of Fairview, Kansas. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1959 and attended college at Highland Community College and Emporia State University where he graduated with a degree in education. Beyond his professional life, Jerry's passions were the simple joys of life. Golfing was not just a hobby; it was a vessel for camaraderie, laughter, and the forging of lasting friendships. His loyalty to KU Basketball and Nebraska Cornhusker sports was a testament to his belief in teamwork, perseverance, and the thrill of the game. Jerry's love of the outdoors and fishing or hunting with his friends, brother, and nephews, were expressions of his deep appreciation for family. Jerry cared about and respected others and his memory will live on in the stories shared by those who knew him, and in the laughter, dreams, and adventures of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his spirit of adventure and love for life that will be cherished for generations.

His wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a small private celebration of life this summer.
