Jerry L. Schram

Jerry Lee Schram, 69, of Gretna, Nebraska, passed away on March 29, 2026.

Jerry was born on February 19, 1957, in Omaha, Nebraska, to James F. and Karen K. Schram. He was raised in Gretna and graduated from Gretna High School in 1975. A proud fourth-generation farmer, Jerry dedicated his life to the land, continuing a family legacy he deeply cherished in the Gretna area.

On April 26, 1985, Jerry married Diane Marie Krajicek. Together, they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and family. They welcomed their son, Nicholas Lee Schram, on April 6, 1989, and their daughter, Jessica Marie Schram, on February 4, 1991.

Jerry loved red tractors, his family, and sharing his love of farming with those around him. His hobbies reflected that passion—from his Case International model tractor collection to the restoration of his treasured 1947 Allis-Chalmers and 1954 Farmall M tractors. He enjoyed stopping uptown at “the office” for a few beers, sharing coffee at Cenex, and tending to his sweet corn patch.

Above all, Jerry was most proud of his grandchildren, Ava Lynn and Tate Lee Schram. They were his pride and joy. He treasured every moment spent with them—whether giving rides around the farm, feeding the birds, or sitting together watching Bluey and Spidey. Those memories will live on as a lasting testament to his love.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his children, Nick (Sara) Schram and Jessica (Justin) Ussery; his beloved grandchildren, Ava and Tate Schram; his mother, Karen Schram; his siblings, Jim Schram and Judy (Gary) Krajicek; his mother-in-law, Helen Krajicek; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Joe (Jeanne) Krajicek, Judy (Wayne) Jesz, John (Jeanie) Krajicek, Kris (Steve) Dennis, Mary (Shannon) Peel, and Lori (Nate) Asher; along with numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Schram; his father-in-law, Joseph F. Krajicek; and his grandparents, Howard and Alvina Krambeck, and Phillip and Laura Schram.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 6th, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna, with a Rosary to follow. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Gretna, with a luncheon to follow at the church.

Jerry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous and gentle heart, and the deep love he had for his family and life on the farm. His legacy lives on in the land he worked, the family he raised, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
