Jeanne Wilson was born on January 23, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa.  She was adopted February 26, 1958 by Frank and Dorothy Rueb of Algona, Iowa.  Jeanne was raised in Algona, IA, with her brother John, and attended Algona High School, graduating in 1976.  In high school Jeanne was on the honor roll, was a wrestling cheerleader and performed as the piano accompanist to the choral groups.  She enjoyed many summers being with her friends at Lake Okoboji in Iowa.

Jeanne attended Iowa State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education in 1980.  While attending ISU, she met her future husband Ralph D. Wilson, a graduate student.  They were married on December 20, 1980, at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Algona, IA.

Jeanne gave birth to a daughter, Lindsey Leigh, while the couple lived in Ft. Collins, CO.  Jeanne later gave birth to a son, Sean Mackenzie, while the family lived in Des Moines, IA.  The family moved to Omaha, NE in the Fall of 1988.  She adored her children and enjoyed being a grandmother.

Jeanne was a stylish woman with a keen tasteful eye for fashion.  She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting for her many friends.  She was taught as a young girl to golf by her father and enjoyed playing into adulthood.

Jeanne worked for many years at Willowdale Elementary as a Nurse’s Aide and Office Assistant, and made lifelong friends with the school staff.

Jeanne is proceeded in death by her parents: Frank Anthony Rueb and Dorothy Jean Gordon Rueb.  She is survived by her brother, John Rueb (Rose) of Sioux Falls, SD, her husband, Ralph D. Wilson, her daughter, Lindsey L. Musselmann (Dave) of Springfield, NE and son, Sean M. Wilson (Maggie) of Omaha, NE.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cora and Jake Musselmann.  Jeanne had many close, wonderful friends and loved them all.

A Visitation and Celebration of Jeanne’s Life will be held at Roeder Mortuary, Gretna, NE, from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, May 19th.  In lieu of flowers or offerings, please donate to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society, as per Jeanne’s wishes.
