Jeanette F. Miller

Omaha - Jeanette "Jean" Frances Miller, age 95, of Omaha, Ne, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. Jean was born on November 13, 1930 in Canton, SD, and lived a long, full life surrounded by family, friends, and the simple joys she cherished.

Preceded in death by Parents, Elmer and Mildred Nelsen, Husband Richard Dean Miller and son Bruce Jay Miller. Survived by son Robert Miller (Deena) and daughter Cindy Lesch. Loving Grandmother to Justin Lesch, Jennifer Michalski (Bryan), Matt Lesch, Jason Miller (Dana) and Kayla Glasshoff. Great Grandmother to Peyton, Liam, Anistyn, Nathan, Bryson and Kaiden.

A private funeral service will be held for immediate family.

During her years at Benson High School in Omaha, she met Richard, the love of her life. Together they raised three children in the area now known as Northwest Omaha. Jean dedicated her lifelong career to the City of Omaha Health Department, serving as a skilled and reliable stenographer.

Jean, along with her family spent many summer days camping and boating. A loyal Husker fan, she never missed a game, cheering proudly and passionately. If you had the privilege of watching a game with her you were lucky enough to witness why she was lovingly given the nickname 'Cray-Cray'. We are all certain the neighbors down the street could hear her screaming at the TV at times.

She never met a sweet treat she didn’t like, and she believed a good margarita—enjoyed occasionally, of course—could make even an ordinary day feel like a celebration. Her sass, wit, and lively spirit made every get-together a little more entertaining. Never one to sit still, Jean was an avid walker. She spent countless mornings making laps through the halls of Westroads Mall, and when COVID hit, she simply turned her driveway into her own personal walking track.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all friends and loved ones for their support, kindness, and care during this time.
