Janice Aileen Goodlow, age 81, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on August 11, 1945, in Galveston, Texas, Janice lived a life defined by dedication, education, professional achievement, faith, and love for her family.

Janice was born to the late Versa Goodlow and Lorenzo Goodlow. She graduated from Central High School in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1963. She continued her education at the University of Nebraska, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Her commitment to learning and achievement remained an important part of her life and career.

Janice enjoyed a successful career in information technology and management. She served as an IT manager with Union Pacific Railroad, where she shared her knowledge, skills, and dedication throughout her years of service. She retired in 2012, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, hard work, and accomplishment.

Janice was affiliated with St. John’s African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church, where her faith was an important part of her life.

She enjoyed reading, watching tennis, and playing golf. She was also an enthusiastic supporter of University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) Mavericks basketball. These interests brought her joy and reflected her appreciation for learning, recreation, and sports.

Janice’s memory will be lovingly cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Jodi Crutchfield, and her son-in-law, Chris Crutchfield; her grandchildren, Jalen Crutchfield and Joshua Crutchfield, and Joshua’s wife, Kennedy; her brother, Dennis Stewart, and his wife, Margery; her sister, Valerie Stewart; her nephews, Jeremy Leeper and Brandon Stewart; her nieces, Gaelyn Leigh and Kellye Jones; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kalen, Kortnie, Anthony, Gerrod, Kandace, and Kristian. She also leaves other relatives and loved ones who will continue to honor and remember her.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Versa and Lorenzo Goodlow, and her nephew, Keith Stewart.

Janice Aileen Goodlow will be remembered for her dedication to education, her accomplishments in information technology, her years of service with Union Pacific Railroad, and the interests that brought her happiness. Above all, she will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the lasting impression she made on the lives of those around her.

Although she has departed this earthly life, the memories she leaves behind will remain a treasured part of her family’s history. May her life and legacy continue to bring comfort to all who loved her, and may she rest in eternal peace.
