James T. "Jim" Leary

9/7/1944 - 10/13/2021 Age 77 –Jim graduated from Creighton University.  He was an avid outdoorsman and an amateur astronomer / scientist. For over 40 years Jim was the assistant Scout Master of Troop 570 and he was a Silver Beaver recipient.  Jim worked for 25 years at Mutual of Omaha and then moved on to Catholic Mutual Group where he retired in 2007.  He enjoyed having a beer and watching baseball on his deck. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James & Catherine; son, James W. and brother, Dennis M.  He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Linda; children, John , Kathleen; grandchildren, Donovan , Andrew , Jacqueline; brother, Thomas C. ; sister-in-law, Caroline "Cookie" and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Private Family Mass - Monday at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 1920 N. 102nd St.   Omaha, Nebraska. Burial at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
