James A. Lastovica

James (Jim) Lastovica was born in the winter of 1931 to Adolph & Mary Lastovica. Jim had an older sister Dorthee (Dot) and twin brother John.

He attended Miller Park Grade School and graduated from North High School. Jim earned a degree in Business from Omaha University. He was proud to serve in the Army Reserve for 10 years. Jim was married to Joan Miller in 1955. They lived in Alabama and later in Springfield, Illinois where they raised their children, Greg, Susan & John. In 1977 they returned to Omaha where Jim worked as an executive at World Insurance. During Jim’s retirement years he enjoyed playing golf any day of the week, and he achieved more than one “hole in one”. He loved watching sports and attending UNO hockey games. 

Besides his parents Jim was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Joan and sons Greg and John; sister Dot Sandhoefner and brother John. Jim is survived by his daughter Susan Lastovica (Lee Brock) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was a member of St Philip Neri/Blessed Sacrament Parish.
