James Anthony Dodd-Meeks

James Anthony Dodd Meeks was born July 31, 1962 in Omaha, Ne. to J.W. Dodd and Willa Culliver-Dodd. James received Christ at an early age at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church . James received his high school diploma from Benson High School in 1981. After high school, James enlisted in the United States Marines Corp, where he served from 1981 to 1984. In returning from serving, he worked at Bedford Market behind the meat counter where he was best known. He also worked at Conagra as a cook and boy did, he love to cook. James also loved his family and the family gatherings where he found a way to be “the life of the party”. James is preceded in death by his sister; Wronda Dodd Johnson, step-brother; Steven Meeks. James leaves to cherish his memories has daughter; VyShaey Meeks , son; James Meeks Jr. , mother; Willa Marion , step-father; Otis Meeks Sr. , sister; Synetta Meeks-Crispin ,                                                step-brother’s; Otis Meeks Jr., Keith Ellis, step-sister; Agatha Meeks and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
