Haroldlyn Haley "Miss Haley"

Miss Haley was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She left this world suddenly on November 9, 2024 at age 78. 

She was born to Marcelline Fentress and Therman Greene Sr. on October 9, 1946. Siblings Therman Jr, Michael, Sissy, Tillie, Terrance, Bird, Dumpling, Adolph and Desiree. Miss Haley gave birth to 7 children: Richard, Andre, Chanel, Simone, Starr, Vanity and e’lan. She loved all 12 of her grandchildren as well as those that looked up to her as a 2nd mom and/or Nana as she would call herself. Miss Haley grew up in the church and frequent different churches around the Omaha surrounding areas as Salem Baptist Church will always be her church home.

After graduating high school at Tac High, she worked as a librarian at Sacred Heart School and the Omaha Public Library for many years. She also worked and retired from Omaha Public School District-Transportation Department. 

Miss Haley loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for friends and family. Neighborhood children from the community all over North Omaha knew and respected her. She loved the Lord and was an avid reader of her bible and prayed on a consistent basis for her loved ones. Anywhere you would go there is someone that knows Miss Haley as she was known for her red hair and no-nonsense personality. Miss Haley was loved by her peers, members of the senior community center she attended regularly, her Sacred Heart family, the entire Spencer projects community, North Omaha Public Library community as well as her OPS transportation family as she was a well-respected household name in the North Omaha community.

Miss Haley will be greatly missed by many. 

Preceded in death by: Daughter Chanel Glass, brother Adolph Fentress, sister Desiree Fentress Carter, mother Marcelline Fentress and Father Therman Greene Sr
