Glenn O. Geary

Glenn Owen Geary, aged 85, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was born on August 6, 1940, in Zanesville, Ohio, to Elton and Lucille (Gordon) Geary. Glenn first married Helen (Fish), with whom he had his eldest child, Brenda Lee. He later remarried Lana (Barber) and welcomed two daughters, Cindy Geary and Beverly Geary-Plank.

Family

He is survived by his three children: Brenda (Teddy) Jenney, Cindy Geary, Beverly Geary-Plank. All reside in Iowa. Glenn also leaves behind 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren; along with 3 nieces and 1 nephew in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Glenn was preceded in death by his long-time companion: Marilyn Dewitt; his sister: Evelyn (Geary) Holloway; and his parents: Elton and Lucille Geary.

Career and Interests

In his youth, Glenn served in the Army. He worked for CRST trucking service and owned his own truck for over 30 years. After retiring, he established a lawn service business in Lakeland, Florida.

Glenn is fondly remembered for his passion for airplanes, dogs, horses, and motorcycle rides. He enjoyed boating and water skiing, as well as relishing ice cream with malted milk powder, Reese's peanut butter cups, and sipping Pepsi while watching classic cartoons and Gunsmoke.
