“Gerry” was preceded in death by husband Jack Conry, her mother “Addie” Smith, stepfather Seymour Smith, Sisters MaryAnn Shouse and Pauline Hughes, stepson John Conry, grandsons Kevin Olson and Tim Olson and son-in-law Michael Slowik.
Surviving family members include son Dan (Jan) Olson, daughter Sue Olson-Slowik, step-daughters Janet Mohring, Caroline Conry, Susan Schneiderwind, and 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren.
Born to father Paul Curtis Taylor and mother Adelinda (Addie) Webster-Taylor in 1932.
She graduated from North High School in 1950, got married in 1951 and had her first born (Dan) in 1952.
She enjoyed the outdoors, and she and Jack went on numerous camping excursions in their travel trailers and motor homes. Nature was one of her favorite pastimes.
She enjoyed being with family and friends, and family gatherings were always special. Gerry, and her two sisters sang together in their church choir for many, many years. Macrame and Ceramics were her favorite hobbies.
Our mom also LOVED Nebraska Football. She would always take time to watch, or listen, to the games when possible. Sometimes she could be found listening to the radio when they were camping on their property at Glacier View meadows in Colorado! She will probably still be cheering on “BIG RED” on gamedays, from above.
Heaven has received a truly wonderful soul!
