Gerald K. Ryan

Omaha - Born in Fremont, NE to parents Raymond Ryan and Calla Johnson Ryan. When Gerry was 18, he moved to Omaha when his mother re-married Alvin Bailey. He graduated from North High School in 1966. Gerry was drafted into the U.S. Army at age 19 and proudly served his country in Vietnam. In 1968 he married Jacqueline Bailey. They had two children, Jarrod and Kerry. Gerry was an honorable and good man who loved his family above all else. He was a truck driver much of his life, working the last 10 years of his career as a Teamster at Sara Lee. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survived by wife Jackie of 47 years, son Jarrod, daughter Kerry , grandchildren Darby and Brady Ryan, and Kasen Koob, sister Nancy Fritz, brother Mike Ryan. Preceded in death by father, mother, stepfather and grandparents.

Memorial Service Friday 1:00 PM at Roeder Mortuary. No Visitation. Memorials to Nebraska Humane Society or Josie Harper Hospice House.
