Geneva R. Wallace

Omaha - Geneva R. Wallace, 78, entered into her heavenly homegoing on Saturday evening, August 2, 2025, when the angel of the Lord came and took her home. She was born on April 17, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Helen Richardson and the late James M. Richardson of Mississippi. Geneva was the second oldest of six children: Annette Roseman, James Richardson, Deanna Richardson, Vanona R. Williams, and the late Terry Richardson.

She was educated in the Birmingham Public School System, attending Aberta Shields Elementary School and the historic Ullman High School under the direction of W.C. Handy. Geneva was also a proud foot soldier at the beginning of the Civil Rights Era, marching for the rights of others.

On November 20, 1968, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where she joined the Job Corps. Upon completion, she was hired as a telephone operator.

Introduced to Christ at an early age by her mother and grandmother, Geneva's faith became a guiding light throughout her life. She lived with compassion, kindness, and strength, touching the lives of everyone she met.

In passing, she leaves to cherish her memory her children, Iraland Brunelli and John Wallace; grandchildren, Aaron Richardson, Kerry Holland, Deion Wallace, Courtney Wallace, and Justin Wallace; great-grandchildren, Ayden Holland Mélia Wallace, Kylee Wallace, Samiyah; and a host of nieces and nephews of Birmingham, Alabama.
