5/20/1939 - 1/13/2021 Gretna - Preceded in death by parents Fred & Marie, sisters Kathy Dunn, Valarie Parrish. Survived by wife Mary Lou, children Janette Hughes, Tom , Deb Siemers, grandchildren Amber Bragg, Erik Hughes, Kelsey Siemers, Matthew Kopplin, great grandchildren Abel, Mila & Ophelia Bragg, sisters Marilyn DeFreece, Norma Keel, many family & friends. Gail was born May 20, 1939 in a farmhouse south of Sterling, NE. 4 sisters-  Marilyn, Valorie, Norma and Kathleen. Married Mary Lou 6/23/1960.  3 children:  Janette , Tom , Deb . 4 grandkids: Amber, Erik, Kelsey and Matthew. 3 great grandkids:  Abel, Mila and Ophelia He was a principal, a Special Education Director, an Assistant Superintendent and ended his career as the Superintendent at Gretna Public Schools.  He retired in 1999.  While he was in Gretna he started Gretna Public School Foundation. January 2005, he was sworn into the office as a Nebraska State Senator. Visitation Friday 5:00 - 7:00 pm with Rosary at 6:30 PM at church.
