Francis Liewer, 70, of Omaha NE, Passed away on Tuesday Nov 28

Born Dec 2, 1946 in Carroll IA, he was a son of Norbert and Marie Liewer. He grew up on the family’s farm at Willey IA and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1965. Following high school, he moved to Omaha NE where he pursued one of his passions working with and racing cars and later met and married Jacque Morris on Feb 12, 1974. Frank and Jacque had one daughter Rachel who was the light of their lives.

Frank was a faithful Catholic at St Elizabeth Ann every Sunday and always the first to arrive to unlock doors, assist people inside and ushering. Just as he was always there to help at church he displayed the same love and values outside the church, a true follower of God. Outside of church he loved working on cars, going to the casino, playing cards with friends, having lunch dates with other parishioners, Husker football and spending time with his daughter.

Frank is survived by his only daughter Rachel Liewer, sister Theresa Kitt, sister Mary Rose Lenz, and sister/brother-in-law Nancy and Curt Boyd, as well as many nephews, cousins and niece.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jacque Liewer, his parents Norbert and Marie Liewer, brother Duane Liewer, father/mother-in-law Charles and Peg Morris.
