Frank Allen Hanna, 82, of Papillon, Nebraska, passed away on July 25th, 2024, with his family by his side. Frank was born on July 24th, 1942, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He wasa devoted husband, father, and grandfather. After graduating from Central High School, he was quickly drafted into the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam from 1964 to 1966.
Frank dedicated his career working with the bridge gang at Union Pacific Railroad, where he later retired. He was known for his strong work ethic, and his love for Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jim Beam.
Frank is survived by his wife Elaine; his three sons, Keith (Tammy), Brian (Shannon), and Lee (Jenny); his daughter, Kim Meiser; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Rori Meiser, Kyli, Lily, and Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Kreyl Hanna.
The family extends their profound gratitude and genuine appreciation to all who have expressed their love and support during this difficult time. We kindly ask that you keep Frank’s memory alive by sharing stories, smiles, laughter, and acts of compassion in his honor.
A private ceremony will take place at the Omaha National Cemetery.
