Florence R. Schooler

Omaha - Florence Ruth Schooler was born in Dunning, NE January 4, 1934 to Mildred Miller. She was one of nine children. Her childhood was spent in Basset, NE. She moved to Omaha when she was 15 to live with an aunt & uncle. She attended North High School. 

In 1950 she met the love of her life, and a married Jack Schooler. They were married for 53 years and raised 5 children. Throughout her life, Florence was known as a kind, caring, compassionate person who always put others needs ahead of her own. 

She nurtured all especially children. Florence worked as a cafeteria manager for many years & loved the students she served. Many remember her to this day. 

She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church for 63 years. Florence had a strong faith and loved the Lord. She was an example of her faith daily. 

Preceded in death by husband Jack, sons James and Jeff. Survived by daughters Jackie Gerken, Julie Allen, Jennifer (Steve) Harmon, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Many others not blood related, called her grandma and she loved them all. 

Visitation Friday 10 - 11 AM at church. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday (2/27/26) at St. John's Lutheran Church 11120 Calhoun R. Omaha. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers Memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church.
