Eugene Allen Craig was born to the late German and Daisy McCants on May 1 1956 in Omaha, Ne.

Eugene departed his life unexpected on Friday July 26, 2019

Eugene attended Tech High School.

He began his employment at Aksarben Race Track, after leaving the Army. He was able to get several autographs from the many famous jockeys and celebrities that he would meet. When Arksarben closed, Gene had 22 years on the job.  He later was employed with Omaha Public Schools at Northwest High School for 18 years. Eugene was a hard and dedicated worker there and will be truly missed by all.

Gene was a championship dart player and accumulated a lot of trophies, he loved fishing and would compete with his brother-in-law on who would catch the biggest one. He was avid Dallas Cowboy fan, and when the football season came around, he would be found with his nephews on Sundays rooting for their favorite team. Gene absolutely loved spending quality time with his grandchildren, fine dining, family gatherings and holidays. Gene proclaim to be the “GRILL MASTER”.

After many years of friendship and shared interest on September 9, 2009 he married the love of his life Latricia Allen of Omaha. Gene looked forward to his retirement move to Arizona.

He had a strong belief in faith and was always willing to help anyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents: German and Daisy Craig, sister; Jackie Elmore and brother; Leonard Williams.

Eugene leaves to cherish his many precious memories to his wife; Latricia, sons: James Allen of Belleville, Ill. and Darious Davis, stepsons: Joseph Reynolds, Noel Muldrew and Chris Mayweather, sisters: Beverly Johnson and Jermaine Love, mother-in-law; Gracie Allen, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of many other relatives and friends. Special friends: The Britt family and Bruce Thomas.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2019 Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave. Omaha, NE.

with Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery
