He was born on August 26, 1951 in Carroll, Iowa to Emmett and Esther Champion.

Emmett graduated from Ryan High School class of 69. He was a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed cooking and baking.

Emmett was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Bob, Ed, Dick and Marty.

He is survived by his brother; Thomas and wife Melva Champion, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
