Elwynn Mappes

July 27, 1927 – January 22, 2025

Elwyn was born in Omaha, NE on July 27, 1927 to his parents Ernest and Ethel (Calliot) Mappes. He passed away on January 22, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Edith Arnold, daughters Kathy Bissel and Sharon Almond, as well as other beloved family and friends.

Elwyn is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter Carol Belt, son Mike Mappes (Chris Allen), step daughter Terri Smith (Jim), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was a coach driver for Greyhound for 33 years and later drove parttime for Chief/Arrow for another 20 years. He was dedicated to his church family at Christ Community Church. He enjoyed bowling and golf. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
