Elgina Agnes Miller

Elgina Agnes Miller was the 7th child blessed to Oscar and Sadie Morgan in Boley, Oklahoma. At a very young age, Elgina dedicated her life to Christ as a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Boley, OK. Her parents, six brothers, and her lifelong love have been her Guardian Angels since their passing.

Elgina matriculated through Boley Public Schools, which she graduated Boley High School in 1957. After graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where she began her education as a beautician, and later, to complete her education and training in Omaha, NE. It was in Omaha where she met the love of her life, James Miller. Elgina and James married February 20, 1960. To this union, four sons were born. Throughout their lives together, James and Elgina cherished their relationship with their family, especially spending time with each other.

Throughout her life in Omaha, Elgina served her community as an entrepreneur and beautician, which she was most proud. She was employed by Job Corp and Omaha Public Schools, from which she retired. Elgina was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She served God by sharing her gifts in various capacities, such as Church Secretary, working with the Children’s Ministry, Mission Ministry, and Usher Board. Elgina was a loyal and dedicated member of Zeta Amicae Auxiliary of Beta Psi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omaha, NE. She served as the first Amicae President when the chapter was organized. Elgina loved to cook, play various games, paint, socialize, and travel. She touched each person whom she came across in a positive manner.

Elgina leaves to cherish her love and memory her most precious sons, Levi Miller, Edward Miller, and Anthony Miller, all of Omaha, NE; Sisters and best friends, Dorothy Williams of Boley, OK, Fletta James of Oklahoma City, OK, Brothers-in-love, Lacey Miller of Santa Clara, CA, Sisters-in-Love, Jimmie Johnson (Eugene) of Omaha, NE, and Wyomia Miller of Toledo, OH; her beloved nieces and nephews who affectionately called her Aunt Jean, a host of cousins, and friends
