Elaine L. Krumme (Spier)

2/2/1937 - 5/1/2017

Born in Nebraska City to parents Walter and Emma Spier, both deceased. She grew up in Omaha, graduated from South High School. Received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Peru State College and a Master’s Degree from UNO in Guidance and Counseling. She taught and counseled for 37 years in the Omaha Public Schools having served at Benson High, Beveridge Jr/Sr. High, Central High and the Central Office. Elaine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles E. Krumme, Two children, Dave Krumme and Jodie Lenser, Two granddaughters, Emily and Madison Lenser, Sister-in-law Carole Rezac, and many cousins and nephews. Elaine was a member of the Omaha Retired Educators Organization and Kappa Kappa Iota, a National Honorary Teacher’s Sorority. Past president of the Omaha Area Peru Alumni Association. After retirement Elaine enjoyed part time living in both Omaha and Okoboji, Iowa.

Visitation Thursday 5-7 PM at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N 108th Street Omaha, NE. Memorial Service Friday  11:00 AM at Presbyterian Church of the Cross 1517 S. 114th Street Omaha, NE. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society or the Peru State College Foundation, Peru, NE.
