Dr. Lawrence J. Kelley, D.D.S. age 76 passed away on March 12, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on August 23, 1947, in Chadron, Nebraska to Joseph Donald and Geraldine Margaret (Coyle) Kelley, the first of 3 children.
Fondly known as Larry, he attended Saint Patrick’s Assumption Academy in Chadron, NE and graduated in 1965. In 1970 Larry married Suzanne Tice and from this union 4 children were born – Eastlyn, Ryan, Heather and Tara.
After High school he attended Creighton University and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1971. Upon graduating Larry joined the Army as a Captain where he served until 1973. After his service he returned to Omaha and started his own successful private dental practice until his retirement. Known for his dedication and dutifulness, Larry served patients for 45 plus years. During this time, he developed many impactful relationships with his patients, that soon became friends and family to him.
In his free time Larry enjoyed golf, both being out on the course and watching it on TV; Creighton Bluejays and Husker Football, he also enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s various activities and sporting events.
Larry was preceded in death by his parent’s (Donald and Geraldine Kelley). Larry is survived by his wife: Suzanne; 4 children: Eastlyn Carson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ryan (Kori) Kelley of Omaha, Nebraska, Heather (Mike) Tupa of Blair, Nebraska and Tara Kelley of Omaha, Nebraska. 10 grandchildren: Brandon, Dylan, Jessica, Kwade, Kip, Tegan, Davin, Mac, Tierney and Kase. 5 great-grandchildren: Heidi, Dahlia, Gracen, Taytum and Scarlett. His siblings: Karen Kelley of Denver, Colorado and Jim (Grace) Kelley of Gering, Nebraska.
