Doris Mae Marr

Doris Marr was born in Davenport, NE on October 24th 1935 to Roy and Sadie Hinds. She grew up on a farm in Davenport with her brother Willard and her sister Margaret. After graduating high school she earned a bachelor degree education at the University of Lincoln Nebraska. She was a school teacher in California for a few years then moved to Omaha where she taught second grade in Benson. She had two sons Steve and Eric with her husband Dale Marr. After her divorce she raised her two sons by herself with working as a substitute teacher. Doris was a very strong, independent and intelligent person with an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. She will be missed greatly by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons Steve and Gary and their wives Lela and Ronda and her grandchildren Haley, Chloe, Sean and Izzy and her great granddaughter Addison.

Visitation to be held at Roeder Mortuary 108th Chapel (2727 N 108th Street, Omaha, NE 68164) on Wednesday August 16th, from 5-7PM. Funeral Service to be held at Southwest Church of Christ on Thursday August 18th, starting at 11AM. Burial will take place on Friday, August 18th at 12 PM at Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, Nebraska (E County Road, Davenport NE 68335).
