Donald Jay Kennel, 51, of Gretna passed away on February 18, 2016 peacefully in his sleep
Donald was born to V.W. and JoAnn Kennel on August 15,1964 in Omaha, Nebraska. Donald graduated from Gretna High School with the class of 1982.
Don worked his entire adult life as a mechanic in the Gretna area. Don's hobbies included going to all kinds of races, hunting, golfing, spoonbill fishing at Lake of the Ozarks, jet skiing, dancing, and of course, the Nebraska Cornhusker football games. He even went to several Nebraska Bowl games over the years. He was also an avid collector of Snap-On clocks and tools.
He is survived by brother Bill Kennel of Goodridge, MN; sister Lois Johnson, Goodridge, MN, brother Dan Kennel, Ozark, MO; and brother Ed Kennel, Omaha, NE. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by parents V.W. and JoAnn Kennel, sister Carol Kennel, and grandparents.
