Donald Andrew "Chris" Christensen

Of Omaha passed away on October 5, 2016. He was born on December 7, 1926 in Omaha, NE to Victor and Hattie Christensen. He was also a resident of Florida. Chris, a Navy veteran of WWll, served as a helmsman at age 18 on the USS Saidor CVE-117. He was a member of VFW Post #2503. Chris married Margaret Roberts in 1948. She predeceased him in 2010. Chris had a long career in the oil industry owning Oil Products, Inc, sold in 2000 when he retired. Chris had many hobbies; notably fishing, camping, hunting, rock collecting, traveling enthusiast in the US and abroad. He also lived in Key West, Florida, boating and fishing since 1977. Chris is survived by his children; Sandra Kresl and husband John; Mark Christensen and wife Terri; and youngest daughter, Gayle Farris; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; sister in law; Mary Roberts Jacobsen; brothers in law; John and Joseph Roberts; also a host of nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.

VISITATION 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Monday at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N 108th St;FUNERAL SERVICE 10:00a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 5020 Grand Ave.;INTERMENT will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Military Rites by V.F.W Post #2503.
