Dolores Owen
passed away early Christmas Eve morning, three days before her 100

th

birthday, leaving behind 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren
and a team of dedicated caregivers.





Dee proudly described
herself as a “professional volunteer”, giving countless hours to organizations
including the Omaha Community Playhouse, Ak-Sar-Ben, Goodwill Industries,
Salvation Army, Junior League of Omaha, General Crook House, Pi Beta Phi, Omaha
Children’s Museum and so many others.





Dee received several
honors during her active years including the Ak-Sar-Ben Court of Honor in 2001,
Sustainer of the Year for the Junior League of Omaha and the YWCA People of
Vision Award for Professional Volunteer of the Year in 1992.  As a fellow volunteer noted, “There was never
a job too small or too big for Dee Owen”





Dolores was a caring
wife, mother and grandmother, knowing only kindness and love.





Dolores is preceded in death by her Husband of almost 50 years:
Edward; Parents: Ralph & Mabel Carlson; She is survived by her Children:
Robert Owen, Carolyn Anderson, Barb Scanlan, Richard Owen,
Kathryn Stemm, Peggy Gray;





A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Dundee Presbyterian Church 5312 Underwood Avenue Omaha, Nebraska; Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery Omaha, Nebraska; There will be a luncheon Saturday following the service at the Omaha Community Playhouse.
