Diane M. Gottsch (Melena)

Diane May Melena Gottsch was born on May 7th 1954 in Wiesbaden, Germany. She had a twin sister named Debbie. Debbie passed away a few weeks after being born. Diane had other siblings. Michael and his wife Christine Melena, Vicki and her husband Rick Stenner, and Tricia Melena. Also survived by stepmother Ruth Melena.
She had two children. Andrea is a oncology nurse in Phoenix, and her children are Emma and Noah. Marti Gottsch is an architect in New York City and was her second child, married to Kai Hsing and she has a granddaughter, Agnes. She also has a great granddaughter, Aura. Diane was such a devoted mother, daughter and friend to all.
Diane went to St. Bernard's Catholic School. In high school she was a pom pom girl for the Benson bunnies. Diane went on to become one of the first female CO Tech at Northwestern Bell. Diane suffer from multiple sclerosis most of her life but she showed us how to live with dignity, strength and perseverance.
She recently lost her father. David Melena and she will be laid to rest next to her mother, Joanne Gibson Melena at
Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation 9:00 AM Saturday. Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday (1/6/24) at St. Elizabeth Ann Catholic Church 114th & Fort St. Omaha, NE. 68164. Interment   Calvary Catholic Cemetery 7710 West Center Road Omaha, NE 68124. Donations may be given to the MS Society.
