David Vell Love, 62, passed away peacefully Monday, June 5 while a resident at Legacy Pointe Rehabilitation Center.  David was born in Dayton, Ohio and preceded in death by his wife Barbara Love and parents Dave and Nona (Brunt) Love. He is survived by his three children Crystal Love, David Love and Jacob Love; his five grandchildren Keeman Hinson, Jr., Kaliyah Hinson, Kymora Hinson, Amirah Johnson (Crystal) and Landon Love (Jacob); brothers and sisters Sharon Love, Dyanna Brandon, David (Kim) Phillips, Sadra (Steve) Harris, Valomark (Suzie) Love, Melody Love, Nathan (Sandra) Love, Jonathan (Juanita) Love, Dan (Shervita) Love, Kendra (Tarike) Adams, Phillip Love and Donovan Love; and a host of nieces and nephews.

David was a member of Eagle’s Nest Worship Center. He enjoyed playing dominoes, playing his guitar and fishing. He had a keen ear for music and could play many songs by ear. He was an avid football fan and loved his Ohio State Buckeyes. He was always thrilled to talk to his grandkids and hear about how they were doing. He was known for always encouraging and uplifting others. He was a great father and grandfather always with a smile even through pain, didn’t let his circumstances get him down and looked forward to each and every day. He always knew how to keep others smiling.

Services will be on Sunday (6/11/2023) at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th Street, Omaha, NE. Visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with Memorial Service starting at 2:00 PM. Services will be livestreamed below.
