Darlene Stark

Darlene Foster Stark of Gretna, Nebraska passed away on December 1, 2025. She married her devoted husband, Dick (Richard Stark), on August15, 1965. She lived most of her life in Millard where she worked for 40 years in Bakers meat department. She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling with Dick, being his golf companion, decorating their home especially for holidays, and trips to Branson for Thanksgiving.

She was born to Ioma Shook Foster and Grover Foster on September 26, 1937 in Hiawassee, GA. Her parents and siblings: RJ, JL, Jack, Julius, Max, Ethel, Myrtle and twin sister: Jewel preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband: Dick; children: Tony and Carol Embrey of Baker, FL, Dave and Julie Embrey of Omaha, Ron and Becky Stark of Louisville, Richard Stark Jr and wife Peggy of Atchison, KS and Pam and Jim Bowen of Alma. Also, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There will be a short Prayer Service 10:00 AM Friday (12/5/2025) at Roeder Mortuary 11710 Standing Stone Dr. Gretna, Nebraska; Burial 11:00 AM Friday at Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. Luncheon at Millard American Legion 13913 S St, Omaha, NE, after the burial.
